Amaturo Theater

The Amaturo Theater opened in 1991 as part of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts complex in the Sailboat Bend neighborhood of downtown Fort Lauderdale, overlooking the New River. With a seating capacity of 584-585 seats, this warm and intimate venue is ideally suited for small to mid-size productions, including dance, lectures, and multicultural performances. The theater features excellent acoustics and exceptional sightlines from every seat. The Amaturo has hosted diverse programming including Broadway musicals, concerts with artists such as Tony Bennett, Lee Ann Womack, and Chucho Valdés, comedy performances, and children's theater productions.
