Decades ago, a woman on a bicycle chained herself to a tree she could not save. In that moment of surrender, she met the man who would become her life's great love: architect and visionary Lee Porter Butler. Together, they heard the trees speaking, the dolphins singing—and heralded a new way of living in harmony with the Earth. This solo performance combines spoken word, original poetry, and a painting created live on stage, written and performed by Jill Karlin as a one-woman world and love letter to Lee, to the Tree, and to every living thing that refused to be silent.
